One of the most important things when it comes to building a structure or any kind of construction is being able to hold all pieces together. This can be done using different structures, but one of the most common is the Binding Wire For Construction.

There are many different types of metal that are used to make this particular kind of wire, but the most commonly used is steel because of its strength and durability. It is able to hold any type of material together so there is no concern for using it at all.

If you are looking for Binding Wire For Construction Use, you can find it in many places. Some common locations would be at steel fabrication shops or even to some building supply stores. You will be able to buy it by the foot or coil so that you can use just the amount that you need without having extra to get rid of.

Once you have purchased the binding wire for construction, you can use it to hold anything together. There are many different ways that you can tie things together with this particular type of wire, so consult any building or home improvement manual to see exactly what kind of technique is best for the situation. Binding wire for construction allows you to have a strong structure without spending too much time trying to get it together.

Galvanized Binding Wire

Galvanized wire is one type of binding wire used in construction to bind different types of materials together. Galvanized wire is made up of steel thread that has been coated with zinc. The zinc coating prevents the material from rusting and hence, makes it suitable for outdoor use. Galvanized wire is available in different thicknesses (i.e. gauges) and the thickness of galvanized wire can be measured using a Vernier caliper.

Galvanized wire is often used in construction beams and buildings, but it is also frequently used in art. For example, the galvanized wire has been used in animals made of brick, sculptures of flowers (and other objects), fences, and even large furniture.

Galvanized wire is easily bendable, cut able, and flexible. This makes it very easy to use in construction projects of any sort. Galvanized wire can be used in both small-scale projects and large-scale commercial buildings. Usually, the thicker the galvanized wire is, the sturdier it will be. The most popular choice is the 0.86 mm type. It’s especially popular in Middle-east and European markets.

In addition, galvanized wire is a relatively cheap material and is easily obtainable in most grocery stores. This makes it a very popular choice for artists who enjoy working with this medium.

Regarding the types of GI binding wire, there are mainly two types: hot dipped galvanized wire and electro galvanized wire. And their main difference is the zinc content.

PVC Coated Wire

The use of binding wire has made its way to structural applications in the construction industry, but it is not without challenges. A major challenge is the anti-corrosion performance caused by moisture and salt. There are a number of different types of materials that the binding wires can be made out of, but by far one of the most popular metals in use for this purpose is polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated wire.

The main point of  PVC binding wire is the extra PVC layer. It can protect the steel core of the wire from rusting well. Its thickness is around 1 mm. And its service life can reach around 40 years, longer a lot than the galvanized type mentioned above.

However, at the same time, its price is also higher a lot than the common galvanized binding wires, around 10-15% higher with the same diameter. And have to mention, the most popular one on the market is the  3.2mm thick PVC green binding wire with 1 mm PVC layer. It is always used as the binding wire of hexagonal gabion boxes in Southeast Asia and Africa markets.

Whats the raw material?

The raw material of binding wire is low carbon steel or mild steel. It is mainly composed of iron and manganese. Compared with other kinds of steel wire, it has the lowest cost, the least mechanical properties, and the strongest corrosion resistance. It can be used on various occasions.

In the construction industry, it is widely used in welding reinforcement, strengthening joints of steel structures, reinforcing concrete columns and beams, and binding the outer wall of the tunnel to prevent leakage. The product is color-coated with black or other colors, or other finishes such as zinc coating, tinned copper coating, phosphate coating, galvanizing coating, etc., to meet different customer requirements.
